What is Mixmate?
Mixmate is an automated mixing and record keeping system made by Praxidyn. If it goes in a tank, Mixmate can measure and mix it: crop protection, fertilizer, biologicals, adjuvants, lawn care products, and industrial liquids, from jugs, bags, totes, and bulk tanks, guided step by step by the Mixmate app. It was created by farmers and engineers in Avoca, Iowa, and our patented inductors are unlike anything else available.
Will Mixmate work for my operation?
Yes. Mixmate is modular, so the same building blocks fit a single tender trailer, a lawn care truck, a drone trailer, an airstrip, a multi-truck fleet, or a stationary plant that meters from storage tanks holding thousands or millions of gallons. Water control, inductor, and bulk inputs are sized to your products, volumes, and speed. If you have an unusual setup, reach out. We build custom systems for operations outside every standard category.
Which industries use Mixmate?
Farmers and ag producers, ag retailers and co-ops, spray tender trailer operators, stationary mixing plants, aerial applicators, drone applicators, lawn care companies, and industrial operations with custom builds. If you mix chemicals and want it done faster, safer, and with automatic records, Mixmate applies.
What makes up a Mixmate system?
Every system is the same simple recipe: Mixmate software (comes with every system), water control (2" or 3"), an inductor for jugs and dry products (Fusion or Pro, or none if you run bulk liquids only), and bulk inputs for totes and tanks (valve stacks and single inputs). Stationary plants add switch boxes to run pumps and remote valves. You choose the pieces that match your operation and add more later.
Do I need an internet connection in the field?
No. Mixmate hardware creates its own secure Wi-Fi network, so the app runs the equipment with no internet or cell coverage. Records sync to the cloud automatically when you are back in coverage.
Does Mixmate keep records automatically?
When your system is properly equipped, every mix is logged automatically: who mixed it, what went in, how much, and when. Records sync to the cloud and are available from the app or a web browser for reports, work orders, compliance documentation, and customer questions. No clipboard and no end-of-week reconstruction.
What is the difference between the Fusion Inductor and the Pro Inductor?
Both automate hand-add mixing, weigh every product on integrated load cells, and empty, weigh, and rinse jugs in about 15 seconds. The Fusion is the compact, best-value inductor and the standard tender trailer build. The Pro adds an enclosed stainless hopper that isolates the scale from wind and bumps, higher resolution (0.05 lb), a lid switch that steps the software forward to the next step hands-free, and an NTEP-certified legal-for-trade scale option. The Pro is a favorite for plants, co-ops, and all-day use, and for anyone who wants the enclosed hopper.
Can Mixmate handle jugs and dry products?
Yes. Pour liquid or dry product into the inductor and Mixmate does the rest. Built-in air and water rinsing evacuates and rinses jugs in seconds. Dry products run in continuous mode for full bags or in weighing mode for partial amounts, and the scale zeroes before each addition so every ingredient is measured on its own.
How many bulk products can Mixmate handle?
As many as your operation calls for. A valve stack meters three bulk products standard, or four with an add-on valve, through one factory-calibrated meter. Need more? Add single inputs, which give each product its own meter so several products flow at the same time, or add another stack. A Double Stack runs six inputs standard, or eight with add-on valves. Large-flow fertilizer meters straight off the main water line. Combine as many of each as you need.
Is Mixmate legal for trade?
It can be. The Pro Inductor is available with an NTEP-certified scale, NTEP mass flow meters are available for bulk inputs, and the 12-output switch box can be NTEP-certified, so a plant can sell mixed product on certified numbers. Non-NTEP components are available where certification is not needed.
How fast is Mixmate?
Jugs empty, weigh, and rinse in about 15 seconds. Bulk products meter simultaneously while you use the inductor. A big sprayer fills in 4 to 8 minutes, lawn care trucks fill in 4 to 6 minutes, and an airplane can load in real time, often as fast as it fuels.
Is Mixmate safer than mixing by hand?
Yes. Bulk and tote products move from the container to the mix through a closed system, so the operator never pours, measures, or breathes the concentrate. For jugs, air-assisted emptying, jug rinse, and line rinse keep product off hands and clothes and out of the cab. Guided mixing prompts the operator only when a hand-add is needed, so there are no skipped ingredients, double additions, or mixing-order mistakes.
What does a Mixmate system cost?
Pricing depends on your configuration, so it comes from Praxidyn and your dealer rather than a price list. Because Mixmate is modular, you can start with an inductor and a valve stack and add inputs, larger water control, or a stationary plant later, and your first purchase keeps its value as you grow. Can I install Mixmate myself?
Many customers do. The Fusion Skid arrives pre-plumbed and turnkey: connect water and bulk chemical lines and go. Component systems can be installed by you or by your dealer, and select dealers build complete tender trailers, drone trailers, and stationary plants ready to run.
What devices run the Mixmate app?
iPhone, iPad, and Android devices in the field, plus a web browser in the office for reporting and work order generation. Data is backed up securely and synced between devices. If you can use a smartphone or tablet, you can run Mixmate.
Does Mixmate connect to other software?
Yes. Mixmate has API connections that bring work orders in from the office and send finished batch records back, so the software you already use and the mixing site stay in sync. Mixmate currently connects with Agvance, Agopti, Chem-Man, Control, and Soil Maps, and a limited release of the AgSync and John Deere Operations Center connections is coming in spring 2027. More are on the way, and Mixmate has an API you can connect to directly, so if you use a platform we don't list yet, ask. When your system is properly equipped, records flow to those systems automatically.
Where can I buy Mixmate, and who supports it?
